Brett Singing Himself To Sleep

When we visited Jenny last November we spent a day sightseeing and on the way home, Brett  was getting sleepy (and his Mommy was too) and was humming himself to sleep!

Brett Is Potty Trained

My grandnephew, Brett, is in the middle of being potty trained. It's Jenny's New Year's Resolution to have him potty trained this year! LOL! Since they live in Illinois, I couldn't just drive over and take some pictures to scrapbook this milestone. So I had to make up the page without the necessary pictures. So this digital scrapbook layout of Brett and potty training had to be a little creative. I got a photo of a commode and I cut a photo of Brett out and put him next to the commode. I also got some clipart and cartoon photos to use to tell the story. Be sure and read the journaling.

Those Places Thursday - Kindergarden Christmas Party In Iuka, MS

Those Places Thursday is a daily blogging prompt used by many genealogy bloggers to help them post content on their sites. Do you often think back to places where you lived and worked at one time? What about those places where your ancestors spent time? Post about “those places” with photos and stories on Those Places Thursday. Here is my submission.

Here is a photo of a Christmas party we had at our little daycare/kindergarden. I did this scrapbook page of our kindergarden Christmas party in Iuka, MS. Notice the old wooden desks? Yes, we sat at those in kindergarden! Also notice the door is open with just the screened in door. No coats and short sleeves. That's the kind of winter I like! Elaine is wearing the turquoise dress with matching lace pants that my Grandmother made me. It came with a turquoise blue velveteen coat and bonnet. We all had our photos made wearing it and then my niece, Jenny, has a portrait where she is wearing the same dress. I still have that dress, coat and bonnet.

Preston Lights Up Our Life

My cousin, David, and his wife, Candace, have the cutest little boy named Preston. They had this great photo taken of him with the Christmas lights. I did a few things to the photos to make them more dramatic and then did this Christmas Lights scrapbook page.

Scrapbook Pages of Brett During Our Recent Trip To Illinois

Stan had a business trip to Chicago and we decided to make it into a vacation as well. Mom, Dad and I rode with him up to Jenny's house and picked her and Brett up. Then we went on to Chicago. We stayed a few days there and then went back to her house and stayed the rest of the week. Here are some scrapbook pages I did tonight of Brett during that visit.

Brett On The Slide

Our Grandnephew, Brett, enjoyed sliding on the slides at the playground. This was back early last Spring, just before Easter, and we went to visit Jenny & Kyle at their home on the base in Charleston, SC. I'm just now getting to scrapping those playground pictures. I did these digital scrapbook page layouts of Brett on the slides.

Brett Crawling Through The Doggy Door

Our little grandnephew, Brett, was caught crawling through the doggy door. He was raised around dogs and has his own Chocolate Labrador Retriever, Choxie. So it's not surprising. I did this digital scrapbook page of Brett and the doggy door.
