Now Here's A World's Record

With my ranting lately about ridiculous world records, I just happened to run across on that was actually pretty cool. It required some work, isn't just something that just anyone can do and has clearly defined parameters. What we have here is a parrot; yes, a parrot; a parrot that does tricks. Actually, it's a parrot that does some very amusing tricks as well as some seemingly difficult ones. (I base this strictly on the fact that it's a parrot performing the tricks. They probably wouldn't be so hard for most humans. Most.) All I know is that it's a Kili Senegal parrot. (Even though I know that, it means absolutely nothing to me. You could have told me it was a Flux Capacitor parrot and I would have believed you and nodded knowingly.) Oh, and the other thing I know is that the guy who trained the parrot seems to be very good at training parrots. He was very good at training this particular parrot, at least. The point here is that the video below depicts a REAL world record. Finally.

We Have A Wiener

I knew this would happen. I do a post about the world's most expensive beer and the next thing I know, there's another story in the news about the world's most expensive hot dog. Really? A hot dog? See, this is what I mean by people just making stuff up so that it can be the most expensive. Trust me. There isn't much expense that goes into hot dogs.

According to the newsy folks over there at the NY Daily News, a local restaurant called Serendipity 3 (I'm not sure what's up with Serendipities 1 and 2) created the world's most expensive hot dog at $69. Now, if you're wondering what goes into a $69 hot dog (which they call the "haute dog" in a failed effort at being cutesy), so was I. Seriously, it's a hot dog. Do you know what goes in a hot dog? Everything but the oink, that is correct. How are you going to have a $69 hot dog? Easy. The same way you could have a $89 hot dog or a $109 hot dog. You charge that much and then you get someone to buy it.

And that's pretty much what happened over there at Serendipity 3. The owner of said establishment, a one Stephen Bruce, came across an awfully gullible tourist, a one Trudy Tant of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and "...asked her to spend her dough on the pricey frankfurter." If someone had asked me to spend almost seventy bucks on a hot dog, my response wouldn't have been "Sure!" It would have been more along the lines of something that I'm not overly comfortable typing here. It would not have been pretty.

But this soft headed woman was all for the idea! "The publishing company worker said she relished the opportunity "to do something out of the ordinary." (I'm sure that "relished the opportunity" was not on purpose because I can't imagine that someone who is dense enough to fall for this would be so quick to make an appropriate pun such as that.) I can think of a whole bunch more things that would have been "out of the ordinary" that would have left her less seventy dollars in the end. Some legal, some possibly not so much. Most of them would have been money better spent than on a hot dog.

In case your a-clamoring to make your own $69 dog at home and see how many of your friends you can weasel into coughing up the dough for it, here's what you're going to need: Some truffle oil, a salted pretzel bed, truffle butter, duck foie gras, Dijon mustard, Vidalia onions and ketchup." Wait a minute. You're going to put ketchup on a dog that has foie gras on it? That's just gross. Foie gras in and of itself is gross, but to put ketchup on it? That's just wrong. But basically, the only thing worth anything on this dog is the truffle stuff and the duck liver. Other than that, you've got yourself some pretty basic hot dog fixin's. See what I mean? It's all just a ruse. And who wants their hot dog on a pretzel bun? No one. That's why it's supposed to be a pretzel and not a hot dog enclosure. Pay attention!

But here's the best (or worst) part of this dealio: "The restaurant racked up the priciest dog record right away; there was no previous titleholder." Wait. What now? There wasn't a record? So...basically, EVERY hot dog that was sold before this one technically WAS the titleholder?! This is why there can't be world records for things that you can just make up and put whatever price you want on them. I could take a Ball Park frank, sprinkle it with gold flakes and diamonds, say that it's a thousand dollars, and set it up with a friend ahead of time for them to "pay" me for the dog and then I have just sold the world's most expensive hot dog. Technically. Then again, I wouldn't want to be the world record holder of something so ridiculous. Not to mention so NOT world record-y.

Apparently, this isn't the first world record that Serendipity 3 holds and the other records are just as ridiculous as this one is. They hold the record for the the most expensive ice-cream sundae (which someone paid $1,000 for) and for the largest hot chocolate which was 4 gallons. No word on how much that was or how many morons paid for it. Back to you.

Hershey Kisses

Melinda made Brett a chocolate teddy bear to take with him when they moved to Illinois. Her handmade teddy bear was a hit! I wanted to scrapbook the moment she gave him his teddy bear. She named the teddy bear Hershey. So I used Hershey Kisses as my theme. I chose a chocolate colored paper and silver metallic matting or frames. I added a teddy bear element and some stitching and silver brads as embellishments. I used a label and a funny font for a caption. But I used a Photoshop brush to add some lines for Melinda to do her own journaling about the bear. I cut one photo of Brett and his bear into a heart and matted it with the silver metallic and gave it a shadow to make it look raised. I thought it symbolized the love she showed him in making him his special bear.

Sunday TV News FAIL + New Animation(s)

Why on earth do I waste any time watching the Sunday morning and afternoon TV political shows?  If the definition of madness is doing something you know to be wrong again and again--

To give just one example, I stomached about two segments of Candy Crowley's CNN show State of the Union, by which I mean I was able to stomach two consecutive doses of hard-right-wing propaganda before I started commenting loudly back at the screen, and C suggested I turn it off. In the first, billionaire Mortimer Zuckerman and multimillionaire Steve Forbes represented the ideological range and diversity of opinions on the current economic crisis. As you might imagine, their responses to Crowley's non-sequiturs-as-questions had little to do with the reality of the world most of us live in. Zuckerman, on a "deficit" hysteria high, ranted about business leaders being very unhappy with (business-friendly) President Obama and the failure of the stimulus, and suggested that we needed fewer regulations so that businesses would be happy, and lower taxes for the "middle class" to turn things around, while Forbes suggested that we needed a three-year "moratorium" on the new health insurance reform bill and financial regulations, and of course, a continuation of the massive deficit-increasing W. Bush tax cuts, and like magic, the economy would be booming again. Oh, and both slammed Obama for the 9.5% unemployment rate, which resulted in part from businesses' "uncertainty," and not the fact that they were sitting on cash, that bailed out banks weren't lending, or that the vicious cycle of unemployment, tightened credit and financial distress meant no return to the consumerism of the last decade and a half.

Crowley noted that from her (wrong) understanding of economics, "raising taxes" (i.e., allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire) on the wealthiest Americans during a tough economic period like this would be the worst thing we could do, in line with and to the approval of Forbes, but Zuckerman, to his credit, disagreed with her and noted that in fact, the slightly increased tax burden on the rich wouldn't be that much of a burden, really, before quickly returning to his mantra of cutting the deficit and having fewer regulations. After several rounds of this, with Crowley offering no serious challenges to anything they were saying, including Zuckerman's non-response on rising foreclosures--he went on about the "bubble" and the failure of people to buy houses--she effusively thanked them for their expertise (!?), and then proceeded to her next guest, former Bush CIA director Michael Hayden, who, when questioned tepidly by Crowley about the host of deeply troubling allegations in the recent multipart Washington Post series by Dana Priest and William M. Arkin, "Top Secret America," on the dangerously secretive, inefficient and possibly unconstitutional National Security-Military Industrial complex, graciously responded by emphasizing that an attack on Iran was "inexorable"....

I'm aware that quite a few people no longer watch these shows, and that they exist primarily to reinforce the echo chamber in Washington, but I guess that's what disturbs me most, that echo chamber effect and its ramifications on the policies that emanate from the White House and Congress. It's not enough that corporations, their lobbyists, and the megarich have the ears (and pockets and throats) of those in power, but they also have this self-reinforcing medium to propound and pound, day in, day out, their propaganda. One might argue that it does offer a window directly into what their aims and preoccupations are--more wars; more secrecy; more corporate socialism and wealth transfers to the rich; more shredding of the already threadbare social safety net; etc.--but the cynical and frustrating aspects of this include the inability to directly challenge them or force them to change course. And speaking of courses they're on, high among their priorities is slashing Social Security, with this President's and Congress's direct help.

And speaking about the successes of disaster capitalism, in Detroit, they're getting skilled labor for a song. Now, I ask you, did any of the GM or Chrysler executives pay back any of those bonuses or the compensation they received during the years they were running these companies into the ground?  Were they forced to, by the government, the courts or anyone else?

Arrangements Upon Your Death

It's important to have a file folder or notebook in an easy access place that contains your wishes in case of emergency and death along with copies of any important documents. You should also sit down with your parents, adults siblings, etc. and go through this too. You can live until your 90 yrs old or you could die within the next minute. We never know. So it's important to be prepared ahead of time.

The first and most important preparation is whether or not you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and asked Him to forgive you of your sins. As a Christian, I know that Jesus is the only way to be forgiven and made right with God. It is through Jesus alone that we make it to eternal heaven to live with Him. Otherwise, you will go to eternal hell because yours sins are not forgiven. He has done everything He could to save you and get you to heaven. He gave His only Son to be sacrificed on our behalf and it's as easy as accepting Him and believing in Him. And throughout your life God has tried to reach you, to get your attention, to lead you to Him so you could be saved. If you are reading this message, it's another attempt by God to get you to turn from your own way and accept His way. He loves you. He will forgive you as soon as you ask with a believing heart. He wants you to be in a relationship with Him. It is NOT His Will that you go to hell. But if you remain headstrong and stubborn, you will send yourself to hell.

1 Timothy 2:4-5 (Contemporary English Version) God wants everyone to be saved and to know the whole truth, which is, there is only one God, and Christ Jesus is the only one who can bring us to God. Jesus was truly human, and he gave himself to rescue all of us.

Acts 4:12 (CEV) Only Jesus has the power to save! His name is the only one in all the world that can save anyone.

John 3:15-18 (CEV, parenthesis mine) Then everyone who has faith in the Son of Man (Jesus, Son of God and Son of Man) will have eternal life.
God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die.
God did not send his Son into the world to condemn its people. He sent him to save them!
No one who has faith in God's Son will be condemned. But everyone who doesn't have faith in him has already been condemned for not having faith in God's only Son.

Romans 1:23-32 They don't worship the glorious and eternal God. Instead, they worship idols that are made to look like humans who cannot live forever, and like birds, animals, and reptiles.
So God let these people go their own way. They did what they wanted to do, and their filthy thoughts made them do shameful things with their bodies.
They gave up the truth about God for a lie, and they worshiped God's creation instead of God, who will be praised forever. Amen.
God let them follow their own evil desires. Women no longer wanted to have sex in a natural way, and they did things with each other that were not natural.
Men behaved in the same way. They stopped wanting to have sex with women and had strong desires for sex with other men. They did shameful things with each other, and what has happened to them is punishment for their foolish deeds.
Since these people refused even to think about God, he let their useless minds rule over them. That's why they do all sorts of indecent things.
They are evil, wicked, and greedy, as well as mean in every possible way. They want what others have, and they murder, argue, cheat, and are hard to get along with. They gossip, say cruel things about others, and hate God. They are proud, conceited, and boastful, always thinking up new ways to do evil. These people don't respect their parents.
They are stupid, unreliable, and don't have any love or pity for others.
They know God has said that anyone who acts this way deserves to die. But they keep on doing evil things, and they even encourage others to do them.
Romans 2:4-6 You surely don't think much of God's wonderful goodness or of his patience and willingness to put up with you. Don't you know that the reason God is good to you is because he wants you to turn to him?
But you are stubborn and refuse to turn to God. So you are making things even worse for yourselves on that day when he will show how angry he is and will judge the world with fairness.
God will reward each of us for what we have done.
Romans 3:10-12 The Scriptures tell us, "No one is acceptable to God!
Not one of them understands or even searches for God.
They have all turned away and are worthless. There isn't one person who does right.
Romans 3:22-25 God treats everyone alike. He accepts people only because they have faith in Jesus Christ.
All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's glory.
But God treats us much better than we deserve, and because of Christ Jesus, he freely accepts us and sets us free from our sins.
God sent Christ to be our sacrifice. Christ offered his life's blood, so that by faith in him we could come to God. And God did this to show that in the past he was right to be patient and forgive sinners. This also shows that God is right when he accepts people who have faith in Jesus.
Romans 4:25 God gave Jesus to die for our sins, and he raised him to life, so that we would be made acceptable to God.
Romans 5:1-2 By faith we have been made acceptable to God. And now, because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we live at peace with God.
Christ has also introduced us to God's undeserved kindness on which we take our stand. So we are happy, as we look forward to sharing in the glory of God.
Romans 5:6-11 Christ died for us at a time when we were helpless and sinful.
No one is really willing to die for an honest person, though someone might be willing to die for a truly good person.
But God showed how much he loved us by having Christ die for us, even though we were sinful.
But there is more! Now that God has accepted us because Christ sacrificed his life's blood, we will also be kept safe from God's anger.
Even when we were God's enemies, he made peace with us, because his Son died for us. Yet something even greater than friendship is ours. Now that we are at peace with God, we will be saved by his Son's life.
And in addition to everything else, we are happy because God sent our Lord Jesus Christ to make peace with us.

John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life!" Jesus answered. "Without me, no one can go to the Father."

Revelations 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and Him (Jesus) sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And a place was not found for them.
And I saw the dead, the small and the great, stand before God. And books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead in it. And death and hell delivered up the dead in them. And each one of them was judged according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death.
And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.


I hope and pray that you have made that most important arrangement... being saved.



Here is a list of other things that you can be prepared for.

* Have a living will! And give copies to your closest family members so that they are aware of your wishes. You can even have a copy put in your medical record with your doctor. Make sure your loved ones know where this living will is stored.



* Have a will! This is not difficult but it is very necessary. If you don't want your estate and your children taken over by a government entity, then you better get on the stick and have a will made out for you and your spouse. Encourage your parents your siblings and your adult children to get a will made. Keep a copy safely and in an easily accessible spot and make sure your loved ones know where it is.



* Keep a document that indicates your wishes of funeral home, your choices of cemetery, funeral, etc.

First, consider three options:
•Direct burial, cremation, traditional or full service
•Funeral Home and Cemetery
•Clothing – What you want to be buried in?
•Jewelry – For traditional services only, consider what prized jewelry or possessions the deceased had, and consider including them. They can be removed before burial and given to the family.

Gravesite and Burial
•For burial, there are many different options:
◦Cemetery plot – If pre-purchased, you should request the funeral director to contact the cemetery.
◦Vault
◦Mausoleum
•Casket - You will need to choose a casket or urn:
◦Wood (what type of wood such as oak, cherry, etc and what color such as light or dark)
◦Metal (what type of metal and what color)
•Open or closed Casket
•Grave marker – A new stone marker or engraving on one that is already present? A bronze plaque or a standing tombstone? Are you a veteran, or a member of a special organization that have symbols or official markers that can be affixed to the tombstone? What text do you want engraved?

Service Details
•If you are a veteran, you may want a military presence. Indicate this in your preparations and the funeral home can tell your loved ones who to contact upon your death.
•Obituary – You can write out your own obituary. Please include core information such as birth date and where, parents, spouse, children, survivors, occupation, religious affiliation, date of death, date and place of funeral, date and place of Recieving of Friends/Wake/Memorial Service, cemetery. You can include anything else you want such as education, organizations you are a member of, hobbies, special people in your life, etc. Also a list of the newspapers you want your obituary to appear in. For instance: the newspaper of the town you currently live in, the newspaper of the town you were born and raised in, the newspaper in the town your parents live in, the newspaper of the town where you worked for 20 years, etc.
•Funeral location – Services are frequently held at the funeral home, churches, graveside, or in the family home.
•Eulogies and readings– Eulogies are short speeches that are delivered by one or many people. Who would you want to give a eulogy? For religious ceremonies, readings from the Bible bring comfort. Do you have favorite scriptures you want read?
•Who do you want to lead the funeral service? Your clergyman, your good friend who is a minister, your cousin who is a minister?
•Flowers – Do you want people to send flowers or make a donation in your honor to your favorite charity? There are usually flowers for the casket and you can make your choices such as your favorite flowers.
•Musician and Singers – Funeral directors and clergy will have a list of qualified organists. Or you can designate someone special to play or sing at your service. You can select hymns or songs for the singer and/or the congregation to sing. Do you want piano, organ, bagpipes, etc.
•Pictures and photo albums – In many services pictures and photo albums of the deceased can be placed on a table for family and friends. Sesignate any specific album or portrait you would want displayed.
•Pall bearers - Select your pall bearers (6 strong, healthy men).
•Remembrance event, wakes, recieving of friends? – Outside of the service, will there be a remembrance event? How do you want this to happen? At your home, your church, the funeral home parlor? Open or closed casket for this?

**Note** After you are dead, the funeral is to honor you but it's also to help your family. Keep in mind what they need to help them through this time of grief. For some, having the casket open is helpful and for others it's torture. For some, recieving the love and prayers and well wishes of friends and family is a comfort. For others, standing for 2 hours and shaking hands is too hard. So, as you make your plans, keep your family in mind and try to do what would be helpful for them.



* Make a list of all your life insurance policies and where the policies are located. Include everything you can think of: employers usually have life insurance on employees; your bank may have a small policy on you that was free; your credit cards may have life or disability policies that you choose and pay for; sometimes your bank requires life and/or disability policies on loans; the little policy your parents got for you when you were a kid and you've kept all these years; etc. Make sure there is a comprehensive list including contact information. Make your loved ones aware of this list and where it's stored.



* Do you have different investments and savings all over the place? Make a list of all your investments along with contact information. Such as 401ks; CDs in the 3 different banks you used; rolled over 401ks in such and such financial institution; that piece of real estate you bought for an investment in Tenbucktoo; your timeshare in Florida; the gold coin collection in that safety deposit box in your hometown; etc. Some people have everything in one bank and some people like to spread it out so that if one bank goes you haven't lost everything. This is especially true when you have more money than the FDIC will cover if a bank goes bankrupt. You are federally insured up to a certain amount. If you have more than that amount, it makes good business sense to divide it into multiple banks. Some people like to have a wide arrange of investments so that all their eggs aren't in one basket. They may collect gold coins, expensive art, mutual funds and Savings bonds. Or they may invest in real estate, CDs and Utility stocks. Whatever you have, make sure you make a comprehensive list with contact information and make sure your loved ones know where you store this list.



* Make sure your loved ones know where your important papers are such as birth certificate, marriage license, social security cards, mortgage papers, property deeds, military discharge papers, etc. If you use a safety deposit box, make sure they know where and know where you keep the keys.


These are the types of things you need to prepare for. Again, encourage your parents, siblings, grandparents, adult children to do the same.


After your loved one dies, what do you need to do?
Find their funeral arrangements and follow their instructions! Simple as that!



After the funeral, this is a list of things to do:
Contact your pastor and your deceased loved one's pastor (if different).

Obtain 10-15 copies of the Death Certificate

Contact attorney, accountant, and executor of estate.

If your loved one was receiving Social Security benefits, notify your local Social Security office of the death, since these benefits will stop. Overpayments will result in a difficult process of repayment. If you are a surviving spouse, ask about your eligibility for increased benefits. Also, check on benefits that any minor children may be entitled to receive.

Contact the Veterans Administration-The Veterans Administration (VA) may offer benefits for funeral or burial costs. Stop any monthly payments that the VA might be paying the deceased.

Contact the health insurance company or employer regarding terminating coverage for the deceased while continuing coverage for others covered through the policy.

Contact the insurance company for all life insurance policies. You will need to provide the policy number and a certified copy of the death certificate and fill out a claim form. If the deceased is listed as the beneficiary on any other policy, arrange to have the name removed.

If the deceased was working, contact the employer for information on pension plans, credit unions and union death benefits. You will need a certified copy of the death certificate for each claim.

Return credit cards of the deceased with a certified copy of the death certificate, or notify the credit card company if you, as the survivor, want to retain use of the card.

Arrange to change any joint bank accounts into your name. If the deceased's estate is in trust, check with the Trust Department or Customer Service at the bank.

Arrange to change stocks and bonds into your name. Your bank or stockbroker will have the forms.

Make sure that important bills, such as mortgage payments, continue to be paid.

Stop subscriptions of newspapers, magazines, etc.

Stop utilities if applicable.

Forward mail at the post office (if applicable).

I have a small safe in the house for my important documents. I also have a binder with our final arrangements, my parents wishes on their final arrangements, lists and copies of important documents like life ins, birth certificate, etc. I routinely check them to make sure there are no changes (about once or twice a year). I also try to remind my loved ones every once in awhile where all this is.

How To Store Potatoes And Onions

Potatoes and onions need to be stored separately and in a cool, dark place with plenty of air ciculation. They should not be stored together as the onions can put off a gas that affects the potatoes.

I did a look on the Internet for ideas on how to store potatoes and onions. A lot are baskets. I have used baskets in the past and there was a problem. When a potato or onion goes bad, it's really hard to clean a basket. A rotten potato really stinks and you have to be able to clean up the container. Wood and baskets are a little hard to clean. It will discolor them both too. If you use your root vegetables quickly then you won't have that problem. Root vegetables leave dirt and onion skins which can filter through a basket. I only buy a 5 lb bag of potatoes or a small bag of onions at a time but there is just the 2 of us. Here are the ideas I found.

I like the idea of getting the oldest potatoes (on the bottom) out first.

Getting A Little Squirrelly

I'm not a fan of "The Most Expensive ____" (put whatever you want in the blank) because there's no reasonable scale on which to judge something. I can say that I have a pair of socks for sale for one million dollars and that they are the most expensive socks in the world, but that doesn't necessarily make them so, you know what I mean? It's just like having "The World's Biggest (insert food item here)". If it's a food that you're growing in the ground or on a tree, that's fine. But if it's a food that anyone can make, that's ridiculous. Sure, you can have the World's Biggest Hamburger and have it weigh 750 pounds, but what is stopping anyone from having a 751 pound hamburger (other than sheer sanity)? Not much. World records that are the biggest and the most expensive should have a small degree of luck or chance to them.

That's all why I was not overly interested when I heard that, at $770 per bottle, a brewery in Fraserberg, Scotland, is selling a new Belgian blonde ale which is 55 percent alcohol. It's the process to make the beer which the brewers claim is the reason for the exorbitant expense. Apparently they need to keep the beer at far below freezing temperatures so that water separates from the solution. They apparently repeat that process a gazillion times and it takes hundreds of liters of the beer in order to make just one 330 ml bottle. Granted, it's a super boozy bottle, but it's still just one.

Is the process necessary? I have no idea. And while I have a fondness for beer, I don't have much of an interest in drinking a $770 bottle of beer. I just don't. That's not what beer is about. You know what else beer isn't about? Dead rodent road kill that are all taxidermied up with the bottle of beer shoved down inside them. Wait. What? Behold!

Oh, what the hell is that? That is the End of History Beer by BrewDog. According to AOL News the BrewDog co-founder, a one 29-year old James Watt said, "This is the beer to end all beers. It's an audacious blend of eccentricity, artistry and rebellion; changing the general perception of beer one stuffed animal at a time." OK, then. I'd definitely say that a $770 bottle of beer is audacious and reeks of a rebellion. But I'm not so sure that it changes the general perception of beer as much as it changes the general perception of anyone out there who is trying (sometimes desperately) to make a buck. I'm not much for gimmicks. I'm all for gimme, as in "Gimme my beer and leave me the hell alone". THAT I can totally get behind. A gimmick? Not so much.

Mr. Watt went on to say, "We want to show people there is an alternative to monolithic corporate beers, introduce them to a completely new approach to beer and elevate the status of beer in our culture." Well, that's all fine and good, but I don't know that you're going to elevate the status of much by cramming it down roadkill. I'm just saying. Mr. Watt added that (referring to beer drinkers in the United Kingdom) "are constrained by lack of choice; seduced by the monolithic corporate brewers' huge advertising budgets and brainwashed by vindictive lies perpetrated with the veracity of propaganda." I really wish he had given an example of the vindictive lies by corporate brewers. What could a brewer lie about? This beer won't get you drunk even a little bit? I don't get that. As for the constraining lack of choice, you DO live on an island, my good man. It's hard to have much variety when there isn't a lot of choice to be had. That doesn't mean that one needs to create variety by shoving a bottle of beer down a....what is that? A chipmunk? Never mind. All I'm saying is that you'll adjust the the drudgery of no variety.

Fortunately, there are only 12 bottles of The End of History. Unfortunately, they've already sold out of them. Of course they have. (In case you were wondering, the one creature is a stoat and the other one is a squirrel. There were 8 stoats available and only 4 squirrels. Apparently, stoats are more prone to getting clobbered by traffic than are the squirrels.) This is only going to make them try to do something of this nature again. They'll just strive for something a little more outrageous, is all. Maybe they'll cram a keg of ale inside of a hippopotamus or something. Or have a whole variety of beers on tap being poured from a cow's udder. Who knows? I only wish that I wouldn't have to find out.
